Quality System

Elements of Micro’s quality system include

Inspection, analysis, and reporting:

• First article inspection: The first piece produced at each operation is inspected before production may proceed
• Part-specific, operation-specific inspection forms (first article and production) are utilized and continuously revised as appropriate
• Complete documentation for each production run is retained for a minimum of 4 years
• Ongoing gage calibration for all gages in use on the floor
• Cpk and SPC techniques are applied when they are useful or required by a customer
• Capability studies, final inspection, FMEA, and PPAP reports are all available if requested

Micro never knowingly ships non-conforming parts without a deviation granted in advance.

 

A word about non-conformances … like it or not, there are times when the supplier’s measurements do not (or may not appear to) conform to a customer specification. Micro carefully evaluates each suspected non-conformance and researches its validity and root cause. We then modify the job traveler, or processes, or we work with you to determine acceptable design or tolerance changes to either prevent or reduce the probability of a reoccurrence.
