Accomplishing on-time delivery

Every job in process at Micro is reviewed regularly and necessary action is taken to keep it on track for timely delivery:

  • Ongoing communications between sales, production scheduling, and manufacturing identify new orders, urgency, needed information or materials, and production status
  • When orders are entered, the target ship date is set by backing up the due date to allow for transit time plus the permitted days early (typically 5). The production order is then assigned a due date of the day before the first ship date to provide time to spare
  • If customer-supplied material is involved and not at hand, we follow up periodically to let you know the material has not arrived
  • Daily follow-up with material suppliers and outside vendors insures they are (to the best of our ability) on time and keeps your order on track
Continuous monitoring of shipping and due-date reports is a good habit at Micro
